We have asked some well known, as well as upcoming talented Austrian/European artists to make oil paintings of Dugongs. The aim is to raise funds for the conservation work for Dugongs in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The reason this art auction is necessary is due to the lack of funds Andaman and Nicobar receive for crucial conservation projects which rely on small funds.

This auction will provide funds for the equipment and the personnel that is needed to conduct the program for a period of two years, the equipment will be used for many more years for the same purpose and other conservation work.

This auction is also to help Austrian/European artists to get more exposure for their work. In light of this, a beautiful connection has been made between the artists and conservationists. We hope you fully appreciate this effort and give your support by bidding for the painting you love the most!
